Ladies of Sacred Heart Parish, Your time, talent and treasure is needed for our annual fundraising brunch, Sat, Nov. 3, 9:00 am-2:00 pm at the Parish Center.
The following items are needed:
*Variety of salads *Purchase brunch tickets *Workers *Baked Goods
*Silent Auction Items *Donations to “Old is New Booth” *Door Prizes ($10-$20 value)
The Parish Quilters donate a beautiful hand-made quilt to raffle. Quilt Raffle tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.
Brunch tickets are $6.00 in advance, $7.00 at the door and available at the Parish Office or by calling an Altar Society Officer.
We are also doing “Decorate a Table” again this year. During the brunch we would like to celebrate the diversity of our parish by showcasing our different cultures and family celebrations in the form of table decorations and a simple sweet or cookie as a table favor. We are asking that you (or maybe a couple of you) work together to decorate a table to represent your family traditions, and donate 24 cookies or small sweets as table favors. All napkins, table settings and a table cloth will be provided. All we need is a centerpiece and the representative treat from you or your group. Please join us in this joint undertaking and it will be a fun and informative day. Please contact an Altar Society officer for further information or to claim a table. Thanks
SILENT AUCTION AT BRUNCH-ITEMS NEEDED
Items are needed for the Brunch Silent Auction. Some ideas are embroidered tea towels, aprons and other hand crafted items. Holiday merchandise such as candy dishes, trays, wreaths etc. HOPE gift cards or cash to purchase gift cards are also a nice addition to the auction. Items should be new and can be dropped off at the Parish Office. Thank you.
“OLD IS NEW” AT ALTAR SOCIETY BRUNCH
What an easy way for the Altar Society to make some profit is by YOU doing your Fall house cleaning, repainting, or redecoration, simplifying or scaling back...to give your “old” décor and some of your tired accessories for the OLD IS NEW booth at our upcoming bazaar. It is a win-win situation...you get rid of clutter and the Altar Society collects on the selling of your donations. Pretty easy! Easier than baking cookies or sweet rolls (course we need that as well!). Our OLD IS NEW is a top money maker for the Annual Bazaar. It is a fun and easy way to help our group, which does so much for our Parish. Anything left over from the day’s event is stored & given to the White Elephant Sale the next summer. Start sorting and pitching today, box it up, and bring it on Friday the day before the Brunch to the Parish Center after 3:00 pm or you can deliver to Sherry’s Stuifbergen’s home at 602 Summit. Call 402-379-2142 if you need to get rid of items earlier or can’t be around for the bazaar. We try to do justice to all your donations. See you there!
