At Sacred Heart Parish we realize, as the Holy Father has stated, that "Parents are the first and most important educators of their own children," and that "one area in which the family has an irreplaceable role is that of religious education." (Letter to Families from Pope John Paul II) Thus, our youth formation programs strive to assist parents in forming their children in the Catholic Faith. This assistance is provided to parents through Wednesday night Family Formation sessions once per month, Godparents, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Children, and sacrament preparation for those children who did not receive the sacraments at the "usual" age or grade. Parents who wish to have their children participate in any aspect of the Youth Formation programs need to register at the Religious Formation Office located on the second floor of the Parish Office during regular business hours.
