The Sacred Heart Parish Altar Society assists the pastor, contributes financially to the parish, provides scholarships, and sponsors social activities
that enable parish members to become better acquainted and united in a genuine spirit of Christian charity. The main duties are to maintain the altar and its accessories used in liturgy, sacred vessels, vestments, and altar cloths.
The Altar Society meets the 4th Monday at the Parish Center at 6:30 pm.
The Altar Society meets in August, September, October, January, February, March, April & May.
We have one large fund raiser in November-the Altar Society Brunch.
We also clean churches two times a year, usually before Easter and again before Christmas.
All women of the Parish are automatically members.

Every year, usually in November, the Altar Society has a Brunch with a different theme every year. At the Brunch, the ladies will serve a luncheon. They also have several booths for guests to browse and select items to purchase. Among the booths are Crafts, Baked Goods, “Old is New” (which are gently used items that may be just what you are looking for to use in your own home), Seasonal decorations, Silent Auction, and a Quilt Raffle. Preparations for this event begin in early spring.
