J.C. Camp (formerly Sacred Heart Youth Camp) is a five-day camp and is held at the Tintern Retreat and Resource Center near Oakdale, NE. The first camp was held in June of 2001.
At that time one camp was offered. Today, two camps are scheduled each June. The camp is open to all Sacred Heart Parish incoming Freshmen.
The camp consists of the students experiencing a combination of talks, skits, small group discussions, free time, Mass, prayer time, and reconciliation - all geared around them coming to an understanding of who they are, what is a friend, pressure, drugs and alcohol and then how we take all that we have just learned and experienced and keep it going when we are back home and at school.
