There’s a new face in the Sacred Heart Parish Office.

Chanda Davis, a native of Chambers, Nebraska, has taken on the role of bookkeeper, filling the vacancy left by Bo Ramold, who retired in June after many years of service to the parish.

Chanda said she has many topics that interest her, a detail reflected in her education. Graduating from Northeast Community College, she has an associate’s degree in business administration, as well as a degree in exercise science. She also attended Chadron State College, from which she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and minored in marketing.

After college, she married Jason Schnoor of Battle Creek. The couple moved to her family’s ranch near Chambers. Jason passed away suddenly last fall.

Aside from ranching, Chanda also worked as an administrative assistant at Chambers Public Schools. Her immediate family consists of three sisters and two special Corgis – Buster and Tank.

In her spare time, Chanda loves running half marathons and reading. While she now lives in Norfolk, she still enjoys participating in rodeos and going back home to her ranch.

Chanda said she’s happy to be part of the Sacred Heart Parish Office staff.

“I have always enjoyed working in an office setting, and this new career opportunity gives me the chance to live closer to my sisters and continue doing what I love,” she said.
