Daily HS Announcements - Wednesday, September 30, 2026

Prayer: Lord God, we thank you for the work of Saint Jerome.  Through his prayers, may we each find an important work that will be of help to others.  We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ.  AMEN.

1. Congratulations to the 7th grade football team on their win over Battle Creek 8-6. The 8th grade team lost 44-12. 

2. The Lady Knights defeat Ponca winning 25-23, 26-24, and Crofton in 2 sets!

3. Homecoming prep rally today at 2:45 p.m. in the AC. 

4. Dress-Up Days for Homecoming next week will be as follows:

-Thursday  -  Jammies/ Pajamas

-Friday  -  Spirit Jeans Day 

5. Schedule for Homecoming:

7:15 pm Doors open 

7:30 pm Coronation (Activities Center)

8:00-11:00 pm- Dance (Parish Center)

*Doors will not open to the Parish Center until after Coronation. Students must enter into the Parish Center through the elementary commons to be breathalyzed.

6. All 9th graders are responsible for cleaning up after the Homecoming dance. We expect to finish around 11:30 PM. If you are unable to come due to a prior commitment or lack of transportation, your parent/guardian needs to contact Mrs. Headley before the dance, and you will owe your hour of service to the school at another time.                                                                                                               

7. Families, students, and staff are invited to the Life Chain on Sunday 10/4 from 2-3 PM at the intersection of 13th St. and Norfolk Ave. Signs will be available for a peaceful, prayerful hour of public witness for women and their unborn children. Students, please gather at the Walgreen corner afterwards for a picture. Living faith hours apply.

9. Students have the opportunity to sell Spirit raffle tickets. Tickets can be picked up in the office. Students who sell 10 or more raffle tickets will receive a $10 GC. The student/family who sells the most raffle tickets will win a great prize! Raffle ticket order forms & money must be turned into office by Thursday, October 15!

10. Prayer: Almighty God, your love gives life to all things.  Send your Holy Spirit to fill us with understanding so that we may lovingly follow your commandments and feel your presence in our lives.  We ask this through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.  AMEN.

1. The 7th grade football team won 14-0 over Wayne last night. The 8th grade team lost 22-12.

2. The softball teams won over Lincoln Standing Bear yesterday - Varsity won 7-1 and Junior Varsity won 8-0.

3. The girls varsity and jv teams won in 2 sets each over Elgin Public / Pope John and Cedar Catholic last night.

4. High school football polo’s are in. Players can pick them up in the office, the cost is $30.

5. $15 for locker magnets is due to the office. Please take care of this ASAP.

6. NEW THIS YEAR! The Music Boosters will be sponsoring the RedZone's "King and Queen of the Castle" at home events! This will be awarded to an individual who goes above and beyond for sportsmanship at home events and will be picked by cheerleaders, game supervisors, and or redzone sponsors. Last night's "King and Queen of the Castle" is EVAN BALSINGER and ELLA GLENN! You can stop in the Band room to grab a coupon for a concessions stand treat! CONGRATULATIONS to our FIRST REDZONE ROYALTY!  

7. Powder puff shirts can be picked up in the band room. Please make sure Mrs. Hahn is present when you take them.                                                                                                                                                  

8. Picture retakes will take place Friday, September 18th. 

9. Friday September 18th will be a mission jeans day for Tanya Gallagher for medical expenses due to cancer treatment.

10. Sept 25th will be a 1pm dismissal. We will have a Spirit Jeans day to coincide with the quick turn of events. 

11. 12. NC Athletic Booster Club meeting is at 6:30 at NC Library - please add this if possible
